Dear Readers,
We often think of “mistakes” as being steps in the wrong direction, but, as artists, allowing the fear of failure to paralyze us can be the biggest mistake of all. Risk-taking is an essential ingredient in artistry and a key element in creating a world of inspiration – both for yourself and your peers. I came across photos of Motohiko Odani’s solo exhibition “Phantom Limb” which was presented at the Mori museum in Tokyo. The instillation pushes the boundaries of traditional sculpture and is a gorgeous example of what happens when we take risks in our work.
What do you think?
What risks are you ready to take?
Please share.
Blessings,
Preston
