Dear Readers,
Happy Friday! My staff and I are treating ourselves to a full and productive day before spending much of the weekend working on last-minute surprises for the guests who will attend my upcoming wedding.
One of the things I enjoy about being an artist is presenting my clients with designs that take the things they love most and showcasing them in a new and exciting way. There is a vibrancy and sparkling energy that permeates a room when one is truly and genuinely surprised, and it is in that moment that I find a real sense of purpose and joy. I am always asked how I know I have done a good job, and my response is always the same: When my guests do not want to go home.
In the midst of all the planning and designing and the trial, error, frustrations, large and small, it is sometimes easy to forget that we are creating the backdrop for some of the most memorable moments of our clients’ lives. No two events are alike. As with individual clients, each event has its own soul. It’s our job (and our honor) to make it like nothing they have ever seen before.
Tell me, how do you surprise your clients with your work?
I look forward to reading your thoughts!
Preston
