Dear Readers,
With only 10 days left until my wedding day, the countdown has officially begun! While Theo and I are excited, we now understand firsthand why people hire professionals. There’s so much work to do, and even when you know exactly what needs to be done, you’d have to be a superhero to do it alone!
I am fortunate enough to have the best of the best helping to bring our wedding to life. The process has been a beautiful emotional journey filled with excitement, nerves, hope, and yes, sheer terror! I am reminded of the years when I was just starting out as a florist. I would have terrible nightmares about the weddings I was executing. The most common? I would be waiting for the flowers at the venue only for them to be dead on arrival.
Well, after many years of peaceful sleep, the nightmares have started again. Just last week, I had a dream that I was standing at the altar, dressed only in a bathing suit, with the uproarious laughter from my guests being the only sound I could hear. Trust me, if I am going to wear a bathing suit, I’d prefer it to be under my outfit.
This brings me to the point of guest attire. I purposely did not specify a dress code on my invite, as I preferred to leave it up to my guests to use at their own discretion. That being said, my guests are now calling to ask for clarification. What do you think they should wear?
