Dear Readers:
As you know, I am working on The 19th Annual Empire State Building Wedding Sweepstakes and planning the weddings Preston has designed for the three lucky winners.
What’s remarkable about planning the weddings for the contestants is their extraordinary love stories. Each of them has a special connection that has strengthened through the years with the help of their individual life journeys. Not only do I love their stories but I’m motivated by the challenge of planning three amazing customized ceremonies in one day.
You must wonder how this is possible and how this is going to be executed. Well, that’s where experience kicks in. Preston’s idea of telling their stories through the seasons provided the perfect platform for my planning process. As I plan, it’s very important for me to take into consideration that they are from different backgrounds, different locations, and most importantly, have different visions. After chatting with them over the past few weeks, I have a pretty good understanding of the things that matter most to them and no detail has been left untouched.
Some of the planning tasks at hand:
Timeline Development
Hair and Make-up Contract, Management and Coordination
Guest List Management, Mail Distribution, and Database Maintenance
Menu Selection and coordination
Custom Welcome Gift Sourcing and Distribution
Consultation and Management of all Printed Wedding Materials
Managing our fabulous vendors
Selecting and planning entertainment
Rehearsal coordination for their ceremonies,
Securing hotel accommodations
Developing comprehensive information packets
Development of individual schedule of events.
Sourcing of Day of Emergency Kits
Wedding Day of Coordination
The dress selection, while quick, has been very exciting! I love that each bride has her own unique style and each of them has chosen the perfect dress! Everything about the planning process combined with these wonderful couples excites me, ignites my senses, and compels me to craft an individual experience that will create unforgettable memories for our couples and their families.
This amazing project has allowed our staff to bond tremendously and I’m grateful for it. Our team has been absolutely incredible! Every time one of us has been able to bring something new to the table, we’ve literally jumped for joy! We all have their best interests at heart and want this to be an unforgettable experience for our amazing couples and their families.
With a happy heart,
Kathy
