Good morning, my dear flower lovers!
Like fashion, flowers tend to go in and out of style. One year, a flower might be all the rage and the next year, no one is interested in seeing it displayed. Personally, I don’t get it. I consider working with any flower the chance to work with perfection, yet my clients all tend to gravitate towards a specific bloom depending on the year. I believe there are a few reasons for this.
First, clients now have a wide range of options. For example, no longer are orchids reserved for very wealthy clients. Thanks to companies like Royal Base/Sunpride in Taiwan, Phalaenopsis orchids are available to a wide range of clients and are hardier and more cost effective, making them ideal for any design.
Another reason flowers tend to move in and out of popularity is based in clients wanting to be different. I cannot tell you how many times a client has told me that do not want the same flowers that were used at the event or wedding of a girlfriend.
Today, I would like to take a survey and learn more about your specific area. What flower are your clients requesting more of this year? Also, which flowers do you think my own clients are requesting more of?
A Peonies
B Roses
C Vandas Orchids
D. None of the above
I’ll give you the answer tomorrow. In the meantime, please give us your answer and location below.
Blessings,
Preston
