Having just celebrated my fourth year working with the Wildlife Conservation Society on their annual gala, my appreciation of mixing traditionally natural elements with modern design has been heightened. When I came across Nature Factory a wonderful instillation by Mokoto Tanijiri done for Diesel Denim Gallery in Aoyama, Tokyo. I was eager to share the concept with all of you.
Based on a walk through nature, the instillation shows a plastic tree that has grown through the store and covered the ceiling and walls with branches that give “shade” to visitors in the store.
What do you think of the concept as a whole? Which are your favorite photos?
Blessings,
Preston
