Dear Readers,
One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. This year, we are expecting 75 family and friends to celebrate with us. My sister, Aminta, has been busy preparing a banquet while I have been working all week, transforming my space into a festive environment. As many of you know, my husband, Theo, and I were married on February 14 of this year at the Empire State Building. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, we have not been able to take our honeymoon. Being that I will be giving a speech in Beijing while Theo is in Europe, we thought it would be nice to meet up in Bali and take out long-postponed honeymoon the last two weeks of the year. Because of this, we will not be able to celebrate Christmas with our friends and family.
If you are in the event business, you have likely already started decorating for Christmas as the decorations start earlier every year. Since we will be away, we thought, “Why not throw a fun Christmas party and be the first to give our family and friends their first holiday presents while celebrating Thanksgiving at the same time?” Being that I have always loved surprising my guests with a fun invite, Theo ad I thought of creating a playful one, strictly to amuse our friends and family. To my surprise, most found it very funny while others were completely offended.
I wanted to share it with all of you and ask what do you think?
Blessings,
Preston
