Dear Readers:
Sometimes, I wish that I could sit with all of my readers for a monthly chat, but thanks to a heavy travel, speaking and design schedule, there never seems to be enough time. Therefore, I thought I would dedicate Mondays to doing just that.
Each week, I will be asking all of you for your thoughts and advice about a dilemma I am facing or a question I would like your thoughts on.
One of the things I love most about my business is meeting and working with my clients. Like design, no two clients are the same and they are truly my greatest source of inspiration. I am so grateful to have had the chance to work with some of the most creative, visually sophisticated and challenging clients and colleagues in the world, and it is always a pleasure to sit and speak with them.
Very recently, I had a wonderful interview with a client who was offering what I would consider to be a dream job. Not only is this client a lovely person, she’s very detailed and talented and I love her concept. In fact, I have not stopped thinking about it since our meeting. I have a couple of ideas as to how to design this job, both of which have never been done before. The issue is that this client has asked me to share my concepts before she has hired me, something I never do. This is where I need your help; do you think I should make an exception here? Why or why not?
I would greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts on this, and as always, I would like to ask all of you to continue to feel free to submit any issues you may need a bit of help with. This blog should always be a forum where we help and support one another.
Blessings,
Preston
