Dear Readers:
Today, I would like to talk a little about creativity and making the most out of what you have. Though we all enjoy having various materials at our disposal, one of the most wonderful challenges faced by artists is taking something simple and making something extraordinary out of it. As we move forward into our careers, often times we have more options to choose from, but I’d like all of you to scale it down and challenge yourselves a little this weekend. Gather 4 simple items and do make the most of it. Send me the photo of your work via private Facebook message and I’ll share my favorites with readers.
In the meantime, I would like to share a few pieces made of Paper by former students at The Pratt Institute and also designs made from trash bags and bubble wrap that were showcased at the Met in the PUNK: Chaos to Couture exhibit.
Blessings,
Preston.
