Dear Readers,
As you might know, next Thursday is reserved for the Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States. Though I am currently on location, I am in the process of planning my annual dinner for 70 of my closest friends and family members. My amazing sisters, Amita and Olivia, are in charge of food which leaves the decor and entertainment up to me. Now, I am sure that many of you in the United States are also in the process of planning your Thanksgiving celebrations. I thought it might be fun to plan them together over the next few days!
Before we begin, I would like to ask you all three basic questions:
I. Because the theme of Thanksgiving circles around family tradition, do you think you must repeat decor that is similar from one year to the next. Example: Do you serve the same dishes, tablecloths, etc.
II. Because Thanksgiving is in the fall, should you only use colors and flowers associated with fall?
III. How open are you in terms of thinking outside of the box and doing a completely different look this year. Yes, it is Thanksgiving, but you also may want to delight and surprise your family and friends.
It does not take much to create a memory that will last a lifetime. If you are open to playing, we can spend the next week discussing how to surprise our loved ones.
Happy Planning!
Preston
