Dear Readers,
As a florist, one of the biggest challenges I face is convincing my clients to try something different. Years ago, I had an idea to create a centerpiece–without using the standard vase. The idea always intrigued me, but I am aware that it is not for everyone. When I give my speeches, one question I am always asked is how to get clients to pay more than what they normally pay. My answer is simple: by always offering them something unique and different. Not necessarily better; just different. I do not always succeed in this, but I shall always keep trying.
In the next few blogs, I will be showing different examples of arrangements in a series I call “Thinking Outside of The Vase.” It is my hope that it will encourage you to create your own ideas.
A question for my florist friends: What materials did I use to make this centerpiece? How do you think I am keeping it alive?
Blessings,
Preston
